2. Stay Active
Don’t drop your exercise routine the day you get pregnant. Keep yourself healthy by continuing your regular routine, making modifications when necessary. Staying active gives you energy and keeps you healthy.
3. Listen to your doctor
Keep up with your check ups and listen to your doctor. There is a lot of advice out there, but your doctor knows your case and knows what is best for your situation. Keep you and your baby healthy by listening to the doctors orders.
4. Eat Right
When you are pregnant you do not need to eat for two. You eat for one and maybe a little extra. Pregnancy is not an excuse to binge on all of your favorite foods. You are creating a little baby that needs nutrients and balance. Everything you eat you are passing on to your baby, so try to eat a healthy balanced diet.
5. Drink up!
Drink lots of water! Everyone should be drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day but pregnant should be drinking even more. Try 10 glasses of water a day.
Growing a baby takes a lot of energy. Make sure you get your rest. Your body needs a good nights sleep and maybe a nap to keep you going strong through out the pregnancy.
7. Don’t smoke or drink alcohol
Pregnancy can change your hormone levels. Try to surround yourself with people who love and support you and who are willing to put up with toddler-like tantrums.
Do your research and get ready! One of the most exciting parts of being pregnant is following your baby’s development and preparing your home for his/her arrival.
10. Enjoy it!
Pregnancy does not happen many times in a life time. Don’t complain and enjoy every moment. It may not be easy or always fun, but this is a special time. Enjoy it and appreciate this miracle.
