This is our table, it was made for us by my father.
The sensory table is a focal point in many pre-K classrooms because they are a dynamic learning tool. They implement the sensory experience, aid in creativity, and simple problem solving. They implement creative play and encourage children to play well with their peers. They are easy to make, or buy, or even make yourself. You can use wash basins, a large box, a plastic container, or mixing tub like the ones found at Home Depot. All affordable and easy to find at your local big-box store. They can be used with dry materials or wet. They are versatile and can also be used in conjunction with a theme (summer, a holiday, or book).
